Mumbai: Jammu and Kashmir BJP chief Ravinder Raina has lashed out at Shiv Sena over the party’s attempt to form government in Maharashtra with the support of NCP and Congress.
Speaking exclusively to India Today TV, Raina said Shiv Sena had shunned the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray to grab power. Hitting out at Shiv Sena, he said the party is now going to shake hands with those who insulted and abused Balasaheb Thackeray.
He further added that Shiv Sena has insulted Balasaheb Thackeray by seeking the support of NCP and Congress. “Shiv Sena has insulted the memory of Balasaheb Thackeray who never compromised on the Hindutva ideology and principles. Shiv Sena has betrayed the people of this country,” said Ravinder Raina while speaking to India Today TV.
He also said that Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray’s soul would be in deep pain today as the party had given up his ideology for the sake of chiefministership. When asked why BJP didn’t concede Shiv Sena’s rotational CM demand, he said that BJP had more MLAs than the Shiv Sena and their 50:50 power sharing demand is not justified.
