London: England woman cricketer Sarah Taylor is known for her crafty batting and amazing wicketkeeping skills. She was been the part of the national team for a long time now but has been facing some personal issues due to which she has missed a lot of cricket in the recent past. Sarah struggles with anxiety issues which has derailed her career a bit and also pulled herself out of the T20I series against Australia recently.

Recently, she is not a part of the English setup as she has been facing some personal problems. She has an anxiety disorder, something that has derailed her cricket career. However, that did not stop her from representing the Surrey Stars in the ongoing league in England.

Earlier, she took a break during the Women’s Ashes, saying, “I don’t want people to feel this is exactly the same. There are plenty of challenges I’ve overcome on the way but mental health is not something you ‘beat’.”

In her latest post, she thanks Women’s Health UK for inviting her to take part in a seminar which addresses the women’s body problems. Initially, she wasn’t comfortable while shooting it, Sarah is now proud of herself for taking a bold step and also has a message for the other women.

“Anyone that knows me will know that this is a little out of my comfort zone, but I’m so proud of myself and grateful to @womenshealthuk for inviting me to be a part of this issue. – I’ve always had issues with my body and I had to get over a few in order to do this and it was completely empowering. Every other girl looks stunning ! -Please remember EVERY woman is BEAUTIFUL. – Thank you to everyone involved,” read her post.

The Sussex cricketer, who made her international debut at the age of 17 and became the youngest woman to score 1,000 ODI runs, at the age of just 19. She has been facing depression since 2013 and took a break from international and domestic cricket to address her mental issues.

Taylor, who was the part of England’s World Cup-winning team in 2017 Women’s World Cup after they defeated India in the final, has pulled out of this year’s T20 Blast in England as well.

Taylor withdrew from the remainder of the Women’s Ashes 2019 against Australia due to same problem. “I don’t want people to feel this is exactly the same. There are plenty of challenges I’ve overcome on the way but mental health is not something you ‘beat’,” she had said.
